June 27, 2020 (Las Vegas, NV) – Boxing has returned as one of the first professional sports to emerge from recent shutdowns. Top Rank has aired early fight cards on ESPN, and Showtime Championship Boxing is expected to return any time. Media coverage of the sport has expanded further with the introduction of Ringside Boxing Action, a one-hour weekly radio show hosted by Al Bernstein.

Ringside Boxing Action airs each Saturday from Las Vegas beginning July 11, and will be broadcast live in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City. In addition to featuring up to the minute news and commentary from the boxing community, the show will feature ringside reports brought in directly from the fights, as well as exclusive interview segments with the biggest names in boxing. The first big name to appear on Ringside Boxing Action will be Al Bernstein, who will be hosting the show each week.

In the world of boxing analysts, there is no bigger name than Al Bernstein. His Hall of Fame career places him among the elite in broadcasting. Al's extensive knowledge, insights and pure love for the sport is the exact reason we are pleased he his hosting this show.”, said Rod Myers, Chief Operating Officer of Point Spread Media, the Las Vegas-based media company that produces the show.

I believe this show will fill a void for boxing fans and for the sport. This show will serve as comprehensive “pregame” show to all the boxing action on Saturday nights, with information from a boxing and gaming perspective. I will give my scouting reports on the Saturday night fights with any eye toward the gaming opportunities. We will also report on and give insights on all the other news in the boxing world featuring top name guests. This is the exact boxing show I’ve always wanted to do and I am delighted to be working with the producers of this show, Point Spread Media.”, Bernstein said in reference to the show.

The one-hour show airs each Saturday at 4:00PM Pacific (6:00PM Central/7:00PM Eastern), which positions Ringside Boxing Action in the perfect time slot to lead into the weekend fight cards. The show will be broadcast from Las Vegas (KSHP 1400 AM) and will be syndicated to Chicago (WCGO 1590 AM), Los Angeles (KCAA 1050 AM/106.5 FM/102.3 FM) and New York (WSNR 620 AM).
